When the Defender's Programme Director Stuart Frith confided to TG that an 8 cylinder engine wasn't even part of the plan eight years ago, it was clear this project would be more than unenviable and exciting.

Although a couple mules were built during early stages of engineering, they turned out to be too good an opportunity for Land Rover’s iconic 4x4 team to pass up - and so here we are today!
